Project Overview
Samawada helps remote communities access clean water. Despite their impactful work, their original website struggled to communicate their mission effectively. It lacked visual hierarchy, emotional resonance, and a clear path for donors.
My Goal : Redesign the digital experience to establish trust, modernize the brand identity, and ultimately drive more donations and volunteer sign-ups.
The Problem
After auditing the existing site and interviewing stakeholders, we uncovered four critical issues hindering growth :
Unclear Hierarchy : Users couldn't quickly understand "What we do" vs "How to help".
Weak Emotional Connection : The site felt corporate rather than community-driven.
Hidden Donations : The "Donate" CTA was buried, leading to missed funding opportunities.
Confusing Navigation : Users often hit dead ends or circular paths.
The Solution
I designed a clean, emotionally engaging system that puts the community first while ensuring business goals (donations) are met.

The new homepage prioritizing emotional imagery and clear CTAs.
Key Design Pillars:
Streamlined IA : Simplified the menu into 4 key actions: About, Work, Get Involved, Donate.
Visual Storytelling : Used high-quality on-ground photography to create empathy immediately.
Standardized System : Created a consistent spacing and typography manual to ensure the WordPress build stayed clean.
Visual Evolution (Before & After)
The transformation refocused the user experience from "reading text" to "feeling impact."
